The project assigned involved sewing an object we could not physically have, while incorporating a family heirloom. The object I created is a clock, and I used photos as the family heirloom.

The clock represents time. Photos preserve moments in time, yet over generations, they will fade. Similarly, this clock runs on a AA battery, which will eventually run out. The clock is sewn shut.
